The 2020 Newnan Lady Cougars were led by seniors Caroline Darracott (No. 5) and Bella Boston (No. 12).

It was a memorable season for the 2020 Newnan Lady Cougars volleyball team. Then Head Coach Janet Brown's team finished the season 26-7, won a region championship, the Coweta Cup, and lost a five-set heartbreaker to North Gwinnett in the third round of the state playoffs.

The team was led by the senior duo of libero Caroline Darracott and outside hitter Bella Boston. Their leadership was key to a young team that has continued a level of excellence in the two seasons since graduating.

Both completed their sophomore seasons in college and participated in the postseason this fall.

Darracott and the Troy Trojans finished the regular season 18-12 and were invited to the National Invitational Volleyball Tournament. They played the University of Tennessee-Martin at home on Thursday night and fell in straight sets to conclude their 2022 season.

Boston is now a sophomore for the Berry Vikings. They won their second consecutive Southern Athletic Association championship in November and then two NCAA Division II Tournament games to finish 10th in the nation.

In addition to the indoor team, Boston is also a Berry Beach Volleyball team member. Last spring, they finished fourth at the AVCA Small College Beach Championships.
