On Tuesday, the Trinity Christian Lady Lions celebrated their senior night with a 15-0 win over Fayette County.
With just one senior, Chloe Reed, the future is in good hands, but that did not stop a celebration for Reed and her contribution to the team.
She responded with a 3-for-3 night with three RBI in the victory. Another big night came from a freshman, Shiloh Stewart. She went 2-for-2 with four RBI.
Kaylee Croft pitched a one-hitter and struck out five to earn the victory.
On Thursday, the Lady Lions traveled to LaGrange for a region contest and fell to the Lady Grangers 6-5. Avery Lucchesi homered, but Trinity Christian came up one run short.
After the loss, the Lady Lions were 11-8 on the season and 6-3 in the region. They sit in third place behind Whitewater and LaGrange and a half-game ahead of Troup County.
The Lady Lions still have three region games remaining. They play Riverdale on Tuesday at home, then travel to Whitewater on Thursday. They close out their regular season with a home game against Troup County.
