Inspector’s comments: Observed dishwasher not testing for sanitizing solution. Use three-compartment sink. New violation. Observed the following foods not reaching minimum safe cold holding temperatures (41 F): In the prep-top cooler: Sliced tomatoes at 45 F. In the reach-in cooler: Buttermilk at 47 F, buttermilk at 48 F, buttermilk at 45 F. All food items discarded during inspection. Corrected on-site. New violation. Observed multiple dishes on dry dish rack wet stacked. Dishes separated to dry properly. Corrected on-site. New violation.

LAHA Sports Grill LLC, 941 Bullsboro Drive Suite B, Newnan – was inspected Sept. 23 and received a score of 70-C. Inspector’s comments: Observed no signed employee health policies, gave PIC copies of employee health policy in English and Spanish. Corrected on-site. New violation. Observed no hand soap at two hand-wash sinks in main kitchen area and one hand-wash sink in bar area; soap restocked during inspection. Corrected on-site. New violation. Observed no paper towels at one hand-wash sink in main kitchen area and at hand-wash sink in bar area; paper towels restocked during inspection. Corrected on-site. New violation. Observed shell eggs stored over buffalo sauce in walk-in cooler; shell eggs moved to bottom shelf during inspection. Observed partially cooked chicken and steak stored in the same container in prep-top cooler, discarded during inspection. Corrected on-site. New violation. Observed rice, beans, jalapenos, verde sauce, pork, cut celery, carrots, cut peppers and onions, lettuce and cheese dip all stored without a lid in walk-in cooler, foods covered during inspection. Observed batter 45 F and salsa 49 F on ice, remade ice bath during inspection and discussed how to make a proper ice bath. New violation. Observed vacuum-packaged fish thawing in packaging in walk-in cooler, package states to remove fish from package prior to thawing. Fish removed from packaging during inspection and reviewed proper thawing method for vacuum packaged fish. Corrected on-site. New violation. No trash can with a lid in ladies’ restroom. Newnan High Ninth Grade Academy, 190 LaGrange St., Newnan – was inspected Sept. 23 and received a score of 97-A. Inspector’s comments: Observed boxes of sour cream expired in walk-in cooler. PIC discarded items. Corrected on-site. New violation.

Poplar Road Elementary School Cafeteria, 2925 Poplar Road, Sharpsburg – was inspected Sept. 23 and received a score of 100-A.

Newnan Headstart, 80 E. Newnan Road, Newnan – was inspected Sept. 27 and received a score of 100-A.

Northgate High Ninth Grade Academy, 3220 Fischer Road, Newnan – was inspected Sept. 23 and received a score of 100-A.

Pita Mediterranean Street Food, 3150 Highway 34 E. Suite 204, Newnan – was inspected Sept. 26 and received a score of 91-A. Inspector’s comments: Observed sanitizer buckets not testing adequately for sanitizer in front food service area. Fresh sanitizing solution made during inspection. Corrected on-site. New violation. Observed a bag of lettuce past its use by date of 9/24/22. Lettuce discarded during inspection. Corrected on-site. New violation. Observed to-go food containers with food surface area exposed. Food to-go boxes inverted so food surface area is not exposed. Corrected on-site. New violation. Observed heavy ice build-up inside walk-in freezer. New violation.

The Heritage School - The Grove Cafe, 2093 N. Highway 29, Newnan – was inspected Sept. 23 and received a score of 83-B. Inspector’s comments: Observed ice in hand-wash sink beside office. PIC removed ice and sanitized sink. Corrected on-site. New violation. Observed shelled eggs stored beside brussel sprouts and pickles in reach-in cooler. PIC moved items to correct location. Corrected on-site. New violation. Observed expired buttermilk (9/21/22), expired lettuce (9/18/22), expired sliced cheese (9/22/22) and expired parmesan (9/20/22) in reach-in coolers. PIC discarded items. Corrected on-site. New violation. Observed aprons hung on dry storage racks with drinks/sodas. PIC moved aprons. Corrected on-site. New violation.

The Juicy Crab, 1120 Bullsboro Drive, Newnan – was inspected Sept. 23 and received a score of 95-A. Inspector’s comments: Observed gallon of expired orange juice in reach-in cooler. Welch Elementary School Cafeteria, 240 Mary Freeman Road, Newnan – was inspected Sept. 26 and received a score of 100-A.

Evans Middle School Cafeteria, 1 Evans Drive, Newnan – was inspected Sept. 21 and received a score of 100-A.

Atkinson School Cafeteria, 14 Nimmons St., Newnan – was inspected Sept. 21 and received a score of 96-A. Inspector’s comments: Observed sanitizer bucket at less than minimum concentration. PIC re-made sanitizer. Corrected on-site. New violation.

Church’s Chicken, 20 Hospital Road, Newnan – was inspected Sept. 21 and received a score of 84-B. Inspector’s comments: Need certified food safety manager. Repeat violation. Observed macaroni and cheese in hand-washing sink basin next to three-compartment sink, hand-washing sinks should only be used for hand-washing. Macaroni and cheese moved during inspection. New violation. Observed stained ceiling tiles in the kitchen and lobby area and missing/broken floor tiles in the kitchen area. Repeat violation. Observed buildup on wall behind fryers and buildup of grease on hood system. New violation. Observed large gap under back door. Repeat violation.

Coweta County School System (The Nixon Centre), 1523 Lower Fayetteville Road, Newnan – was inspected Sept. 22 and received a score of 95-A. Inspector’s comments: Observed pink slime buildup on baffle of ice machine. PIC cleaned ice machine. Corrected on-site. New violation. Observed single use items with food surface exposed. PIC inverted items. Corrected on-site. New violation.

East Coweta High Ninth Grade Academy, 400 Sharpsburg-McCollum Road, Sharpsburg – was inspected Sept. 21 and received a score of 100-A.

Newnan High Ninth Grade Academy, 160 Martin Luther King Drive, Newnan – was inspected Sept. 22 and received a score of 100-A.

Taqueria Oasis Bar and Grill LLC, 11 Spence Ave., Newnan – was inspected Sept. 21 and received a score of 87-B. Inspector’s comments: Observed items in prep-top and reach-in coolers outside above 41 F. PIC moved items to be cooled down. Corrected on-site. New violation. Observed raw beef on counter top thawing. PIC moved items to reach-in cooler. Corrected on-site. New violation. Observed employee food above/beside consumer food in reach-in cooler and employee purses in dry storage closet on top of single use food trays and soda. PIC moved items to appropriate location. Wendy’s #11457, 381 Newnan Crossing Bypass, Newnan – was inspected Sept. 22 and received a score of 88-B. Inspector’s comments: Observed box of sliced cheese stored beside box of raw hamburger patties in walk-in cooler. PIC moved sliced cheese. Corrected on-site. New violation. Observed multiple boxes of food on floor of walk-in freezer. New violation.

Winston Dowdell Academy School Cafeteria, 1 Dowdell St., Newnan – was inspected Sept. 22 and received a score of 100-A.

Blake Bass Middle School, 500 Shaw Road, Sharpsburg – was inspected Sept. 16 and received a score of 100-A.

Brooks Elementary School, 35 Genesee Pointe, Newnan – was inspected Sept. 15 and received a score of 100-A.

Canongate Elementary School Cafeteria, 200 Petes Road, Sharpsburg – was inspected Sept. 16 and received a score of 100-A.

Glanton Elementary School Cafeteria, 5725 Highway 29 S., Grantville – was inspected Sept. 20 and received a score of 100-A.

Rivera’s BBQ A Taste of Texas, 42 Seven Pines Drive, Newnan – was inspected Sept. 20 and received a score of 100-A. Inspector’s comments: Mobile unit was setting up to serve during inspection.

Senoia Raceway, 171 Brown Road, Senoia – was inspected Sept. 20 and received a score of 100-A. Inspector’s comments: Not operating during inspection.

Taco Bell #23673, 3410 Highway 34 E., Sharpsburg – was inspected Sept. 16 and received a score of 99-A. Inspector’s comments: Observed low floor grout in main kitchen area, black spotting on ceiling vent close to front food service counter and heavy ice buildup inside reach-in freezer next to fryers. New violation. Observed keys on shelf next to paper take out boxes on food line. New violation.

Lee Middle School Cafeteria, 370 Willis Road, Sharpsburg – was inspected Sept. 16 and received a score of 100-A.

Inspector’s comments: Observed single-use food trays stored with food surface exposed. Observed step stool stored on shelf in dry storage above single use food boats.
