The Trinity Christian Lady Lions got back in the win column Monday night with a 6-1 victory over the Heritage Lady Hawks.
The Lady Lions got an early start; they scored first when Cacie Cutright doubled and came home on a wild pitch. They added two more on a Seanna Johnson double that scored Kayden Harrison and Shiloh Stewart.
Kelsi Brown brought the Lady Hawks one run closer in the fifth inning with a long home run, but Trinity Christian scored two insurance runs in the bottom of the sixth to put the game away.
The two runs were courtesy of a Makayla Callander single and an Avery Lucchesi sacrifice fly.
Callander finished with three hits, while Kaylee Croft, C. Reed and Cutright added two.
Croft pitched the first five innings from the circle to earn the victory, and Cutright closed out the final two.
Amelia Thornton and Brown pitched for the Lady Hawks and only allowed two earned runs.
The Lady Hawks are back in action on Thursday at Strong Rock Christian in Locust Grove, while The Lady Lions go to Starr's Mill Thursday for a region 4-4A contest.
