Even though their school does not start until Tuesday, the 2022 Central Christian Lady Crusaders volleyball team kicked off their season Monday night against Creekside Christian.

According to Head Coach John Clark, this year’s team is young. “We have got a lot of youth; we got one senior and two juniors, one sophomore and three freshmen.”

Clark said although the team fell behind in each set, they never gave up.

“They didn't give up tonight; a good volleyball team outmanned us,” Clark said. “A lot of those girls on Creekside play club ball year-round, so I am proud of our girls, especially for the first game.”

The 2022 Lady Crusaders include Bayleigh Seymour, Natalie Schneider, Ivy Minichowski, Kenniya Gumbs, Sadie Clark, Riley Clark, Sarah Passow and Evelyn Schwartz.

Their next game is at Rock Springs Academy on Thursday at 6 p.m.
