Joan Mac Robison Spradlin passed away peacefully at her home on May 18, 2022.
Joan lived in Newnan all of her life and was active in her community. She was born August 12, 1931, to Hattie Mae Kilgore Robison and WL (Lee) Robison. Joan married Eddie Harold Spradlin on September 3, 1954. They were married 43 years at the time of Harold's death in 1997. She is also predeceased by her mother, father, and twin sister JoAnne. She is survived by her daughters Nancy Lee Spradlin and Beth Spradlin Pitts of Newnan.
A graduate of Newnan High School, Joan completed her Associates of Science Degree at LaGrange College. She used her skills throughout her life working for RD Cole Manufacturing, Matthews Knight Jones and McNabb, the GA Department of Parole, and after her retirement the Coweta County Sheriff's Dept and PAPP Clinic. Joan also loved to stay busy with her crafts, sewing, or traveling with her friends.
Active in her community Joan was a member of the Newnan Pilot Club and served a number of years on the Board of Directors for Powers Crossroads.
One of Joan's fondest memories was when she and her "partner in crime", Charlotte Shoemake, would shop for secret Santa gifts from the Pilot Club for children in the community.
Beth and Nancy would like to thank Sacred Journey Hospice, with special thanks to Jan Storms, Morgan Dean, and Donna Duke for the loving care provided to our mother Joan.
