Ruth Hill media specialist Stephanie Landrum partnered with fourth grade teachers to host "Chopped: Figurative Language Edition," in which students had to use their language arts skills and creativity to write sentences using types of figurative language and a special "ingredient." For instance, students had to construct a sentence using a simile that included their special ingredient, chocolate chips. Just like the show, judges reviewed and determined if student responses were accurate.
