The Coweta Community Foundation has announced the new officers and board members who will be serving in 2022.
Cynthia Bennett, who formerly served as vice chair, is the new chair of the board, and Dean Jackson will now serve as immediate past chair.
Other officers include Chellie Phillips, public relations chair; Emily Gates, special events chair; Brett Johnston, vice chair; Doug Kolbenschlag, grants chair; and Michael Nix, secretary. The other returning board members are Laura Benz, Katrina Cline, Barry DeBrow, Robert Fowler, Amanda Hand, Tom Jackson, Marvin McKoy and Gina Weathersby.
New board members include Michael Butler, Blue Cole, Olivia Waters and Tonya Whitlock.
“As I transition to board chair, I am energized by the support of CCF staff and board members,” said Cynthia Bennett. “We created a strong team working closely through 2020 and 2021. This strength will benefit our community as we move into 2022.”
The Coweta Community Foundation’s mission is to enhance the local community’s quality of life by encouraging philanthropic interaction to provide a catalyst to help focus local philanthropy on the community’s ever-changing needs.
