Nia Jackson (#8) gets a point on a block from the net.

The Trinity Christian Lady Lions volleyball team had a home-and-home series with Heritage this week. On Monday the Lady Lions hosted Heritage, and then Heritage hosted Trinity on Thursday.

Different days and places, but the same result. Trinity won both matches 3-0 to improve to 19-4 on the season and 3-1 in Region 4A Private.

The Lady Lions currently sit in second place behind Brookstone. They have two games left in the region schedule; St. Anne-Pacelli next Thursday and Brookstone to close out the season on Oct. 5.

Region 4A Private is matched up with Region 2A for the first round of the state playoffs. The Lady Lions first round opponent would come from a group that includes Whitefield Academy and Our Lady of Mercy.

Trinity Christian travels to Mount Vernon on Tuesday with a match that will include Fellowship Christian.
