Till Productions submitted an application to the Grantville City Council to shoot a portion of a feature film in the city limits.

At the council's Monday night work session, City Manager Al Grieshaber said if the permit is approved, the filming will take place on Main Street, Post Street, Lone Oak Street and Church Street.

Preparation for the production will occur on Sept. 28-Oct. 3, Grieshaber said.

Shooting is tentatively scheduled for Oct. 5 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Equipment for the production will be broken down Oct. 6-9.

According to Grieshaber, traffic will be able to pass through the streets during the filming dates.

He said Steve Whitlock, Grantville's chief of Police, is taking care of the coordination, and the production will have off-duty officers hired to follow the chief's recommendations.

According to the application for the film permit, there will be approximately 150 crew members in the city for filming.

The permit for filming will be voted on at the council's Sept. 27 meeting.
