WOW! Internet, Cable & Phone announced its support of the “Where I Come From: Tornado Benefit Concert” to support disaster relief following the devastation that occurred in the community earlier this year.
NuLink will provide all internet services to the Coweta County Fairgrounds for guests attending the sold out show on Saturday, June 26, headlined by hometown country music star, Alan Jackson.
All proceeds from the concert will be donated to the Coweta Community Foundation’s Tornado Relief Fund.
NuLink’s commitment to supporting the community extends beyond this benefit concert. The company continues to provide residents access to free community WiFi spots to help residents and NuLink employees recover from the damages caused by the tornados.
“I’m amazed at the way the community has united to rebuild after a tornado devastated Newnan just a few months ago,” said Teresa Elder, WOW!’s CEO. “We are proud to support this tight-knit community during its time of need and hope this concert not only raises money to support rebuilding efforts, but also brings a bit of joy to residents who have suffered so much this year.”
NuLink’s engineering team and field technicians were on the ground immediately following the destruction left behind by the tornado to assess the damage and rebuild NuLink’s network. As of today, NuLink has restored services to nearly all of the company’s customers.
