We live right off LaGrange on Woodrow Place. How do we give thanks and be so fortunate to live in a community so outstanding? People came from across the United States to help us. People that we probably crossed paths with one time or another, they put their lives on hold, drove their own ATVs to get to us. Never a complaint, always, “What do you need? How can I help?” Words only heard to others, never to us.
We only remember one or two names. It still seems unreal today. I don’t have any eloquent words but my heart overflows from all the gifts of loving people from a city we’ve called home for 21 years. Endless people, organizations, connections from word of mouth. Boggles my mind. Even our city, Coweta County employees were out asking what all did we need and how can they help, if even just to make sure we’re truly OK.
I'm not on social media and thought maybe someone there at your facility could pass on our forever gratefulness. It's a struggle every day, what to do next. We are one of the very fortunate ones, able to stay in our own home. Mind boggling. Forever grateful to our community we’ve called home for 21 years.
