The Heritage School held its annual Fine Arts Night April 29, showcasing student talent in art exhibits and performances.
Parents, grandparents and friends had the opportunity to view artwork from students exhibited along the Gallery Art Walk. The Art Walk featured visual works by students ranging from age 3 through 12th grade.
Art students’ pieces took shape in many mediums, including paintings, sculptures, photography and collages. AP photography students displayed work from their portfolio collections.
Heritage School music teacher Loretta Norton led students of all ages in musical performances on the lawn.
Performances included sets from the Upper School rock band known as “The Talons,” and seventh-grader Alaina Alba on flute, as well as the singing of the Alma Mater for the first time this year by Lower School students.
In addition, fourth grade students’ performance showed the progress they have made on their recorders in preparation for The Heritage School’s first-ever symphonic band class, which begins this fall.
