Lewis graduates from Ohio University

Mattea Lewis of Sharpsburg graduated with a Master of Science in biological sciences from Ohio University's College of Arts and Sciences in fall 2020.

Lewis was among more than 2,300 students who earned bachelor's, master's or doctorate degrees from Ohio University last fall.

Keith earns scholarship to Culver-Stockton

TaRell Keith, a senior at Newnan High School, has been awarded the Hilltop Scholarship from Culver-Stockton College in Canton, Missouri.

The Hilltop Scholarship is worth $10,500. It is awarded based on academic credentials and is renewable annually for four years, provided the student remains in good academic standing.

Burk named to South Dakota State Dean’s List

Crystal Faith Burk Newnan has been named to the South Dakota State University Dean’s List for the fall 2020 semester.

To be eligible, students must maintain a minimum 3.5 GPA while completing at least 12 hours of academic credit.

Burk is a student in the university’s College of Education and Human Sciences.

Sewanee announces Dean’s List

Local residents were among students named to the Dean’s List at Sewanee – the University of the South – for the fall 2020 semester.

They included Katherine Thomas of Newnan, daughter of Laura and Brian H. Thomas of Newnan; and Catie Droogmans of Palmetto, daughter of Leslie P. Droogmans of Palmetto.

To be eligible, students must maintain a minimum 3.625 GPA on a 4.0 scale.

Klusendorf named to Dean's List

Emily Klusendorf of Newnan has been named to the Grove City College Dean’s List for the fall 2020 semester.

To be eligible, students must maintain a minimum 3.4 GPA.

A sophomore English major, Klusendorf is a 2019 graduate of Trinity Christian School and the daughter of Scott and Stephanie Klusendorf of Newnan.

Paul Anderson of Newnan has been named to the Harding University Dean’s List for the fall 2020 semester.
