The Jan. 13 article, "It was love for the country" containing a personal account of the violent mob that stormed our nation's capital on Jan. 6 was appalling.
Ms. Carroll believed the election was fraudulent and God led her to "take a stand" for Trump.
If she is listening to God, perhaps she should focus on Matthew 7:15 "Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly are ravening wolves." President Trump lied about the election being rigged, and after 60+ court cases, it was obviously an honest election.
She also said the insurgents didn't want to threaten the lawmakers, so perhaps she could explain why people were chanting "Hang Mike Pence."
President Trump's dangerous rhetoric before, during and after the violence could have led to the end of our democracy as we know it. Listening to God is fine, but common sense and reasoning in her thought process would help.
If she really loves the country, she would support law and order, and not follow a false prophet.
