Citing the ongoing concern for COVID-19 safety, Newnan Utilities announced the temporary closure of their Sewell Road lobby.

The drive-thru window at Sewell Road will remain open, according to General Manager Dennis McEntire.

“We understand everyone’s concerns regarding COVID-19, and the health and safety of our customers and our employees are of the utmost importance to us,” McEntire said. “We are encouraging our employees and customers to limit face-to-face contact and to instead communicate through electronic and digital systems.”

Customers may conduct all regular business, including starting, stopping, or transferring service online at NewnanUtilities.org and clicking the green “LOG IN” button.

“At Newnan Utilities, our top priority is the health and security of our customers and staff. We are closely monitoring the COVID-19 situation and following guidance from health experts and federal agencies,” McEntire said. “We encourage everyone in our community to stay safe and practice recommended health hygiene practices.”

McEntire encourages customers and citizens of Coweta County to adhere to the safety guidelines of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. For more information about how you can help limit the spread of COVID-19, visit www.cdc.gov .
