Edward Grant Lewis, 84, of Newnan, formerly of Lynnhaven, FL passed away Monday, January 11, 2021 at Brookdale of Newnan.

Ed was born November 21, 1936 in Atlanta to the late Charles Battle Lewis & Louise Grant Lewis.

After graduating from high school and starting college, Ed served three years in the Army. He worked for BellSouth before beginning a career as a detention officer with the Dekalb County Sheriff’s Office.

The memorial service is 2:00 PM Monday, January 18, 2020 in the chapel of McKoon Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Smith and Pastor Tony Grant officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Georgia Sheriffs’ Association Youth Home at www.georgiasheriffsyouth.org

Survivors include wife, Charlotte Worthington Lewis; sons, Mark Lewis, John (Jenny) Lewis; stepdaughter, Cathy Howell; brother, Charles (Shirley) Lewis, Jr.; grandchildren, Cody Lewis, Harley Lewis, Jennifer (Curt) Rodriguez, Ryan Stacy, Natalie (Anthony) Watson, Kelsey (Josh) Perry, Megan Howell, Kari (Caleb) Chappell; great-grandchildren, Luke Watson, Katherine Chappell, Kennedy Chappell, Caroline Chappell, Pressley-Mae Rodriguez, Kailyn Stacy, Jameson Stacy; and nieces.
