I'm very concerned about Coweta's firefighters, paramedics and EMT's.

They've gone from working two mandatory overtime shifts a month to being on-call for overtime for a week. They will end up possibly working two days on and one day off, which would be five 24-hour shifts, plus some days working over a few hours waiting for someone to replace them from another station.

As a citizen, I absolutely believe this is too much. The stress and fatigue these men and women will experience are not good for them or us. What if they end up making a mistake? They could lose their license and not be able to work. We obviously don't have enough people, and some we have are going to leave, then we'll have even fewer.

Our civil servants are necessary for our safety and health. We have some dedicated, hard-working people because these jobs are not easy by any means. Let's try to do some better planning and more funding to encourage people to stay and new people to come to work in our county.

Please try to improve this situation. Thanks. I appreciate your time and hope something can be done.
