Trinity Christian wasted little time in their first-round matchup with Stratford Academy from Macon.
The outcome was never in doubt as the Lady Lions won in straight sets, 25-10, 25-9 and 25-9 The victory improves their record to 19-9.
Trinity got a big game from both Adyson Taylor and Rachel Gregg who combined for 34 kills. Other players who made huge contributions include Kebbron Berhanu who had three service aces and Charlsey Willoughby added four digs.
The win sends the Lady Lions to the second round of the Class A Private state tournament, where they will face Landmark Christian Lady War Eagles (18-9) on the road. While they did not face each other this season, they did play twice last year and split the two meetings.
