Benefit ride for veterans planned for Oct. 24

A ride to benefit the Coweta Veteran Relief Fund will be held Saturday, Oct. 24 at Great South Harley Davidson, 185 E. Highway 16 in Newnan.

All money raised during the ride will benefit the American Legion Post 57 Veteran Relief Fund, with all proceeds benefiting veterans in Coweta County. The fund is used to pay bills, purchase service animals and meet other needs of local men and women who have served in the armed forces.

The feeFee is $25 per driver and $10 per passenger, regardless of vehicle. Motorcycles, cars and trucks are welcome to participate.

The ride will begin and end at Great South Harley Davidson, with the route winding through scenic Coweta County back roads. Registration will take place from 9:30-10:45 a.m. with kickstands up at 11 a.m.

Lunch will be provided courtesy of Great South Harley Davidson following the ride. A raffle of new and gently used prizes – including new, in- box items and gift cards – also will be held. Donations of raffle prizes will be accepted through Wednesday, Oct. 21.
