Several road projects in the city of Newnan will begin next week.

Milling and resurfacing is set to start Tuesday, weather permitting, on several roads. The roads will be paved in groups, starting with Rockcress Court, Gladecress Lane, Preserve Drive, East Newnan Road and Greison Trail. The next group will be Belltree Circle and Hunterian Place. Then crews will move on to Stones Throw Lane. The last group will be Natalia Court, Fairhaven Drive and Fairview Drive.

The groups are streets in close proximity to each other, said Newnan Public Works Director Michael Klahr. Crews will deep patch the streets in each group and then come back with a final pavement overlay, then move on to the next group, Klahr said. The contractor for that project is C.W. Matthews.

Crews with Atlanta Paving are set to begin a full-depth reclamation project of Werz Industrial Boulevard . and Sprayberry Road on Sept. 21. FDR includes milling the pavement, using the removed pavement to create a new base for the roadway, and then resurfacing. Work will be done first on Werz Industrial Boulevard then Sprayberry Road.
