Investigators are still working to determine the cause of a Grantville house fire.
Just after 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters with Coweta County Fire Rescue responded to the 400 block of Alexander Road in reference to a house fire.
Initially reported as a grass fire, it was upgraded to a full alarm house fire within minutes of the first arriving unit, according to Battalion Chief Chon Terrell.
Crews determined the home was 30 percent involved in flames and were able to extinguish the fire on the 1,200 square foot structure, along with a car on fire under the carport.
Neither homeowner nor rescue personnel were injured, Terrell said, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
