Our governor is interested only in how the economy looks without concern for helping prevent the spread of the coronavirus.
Governor Kemp allowed businesses to open without regard for the guidelines that were issued.
Now, with the number of COVID-19 cases continuing to climb and severely taxing our medical facilities, he not only refuses to issue a mandate for wearing masks in public, but he is also suing the City of Atlanta for trying to protect its citizens.
In response to a question about mandating masks a few weeks ago he said, "We're not there yet.” So I would ask the governor, "When will we be there? How many more need to get infected and how many more need to die before we get there?”
Masks should be mandated for everyone while in public. Our experts have been saying that for a long time.
We can and should be better than this.
