Summit Family YMCA will reopen Friday

The Summit Family YMCA will reopen Friday with limited hours and capacity to keep visitors safe.

The gym’s new hours will be Monday-Friday from 5 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3-10 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from 5 a.m. to 3 p.m. The gym will be closed from 1-3 p.m. on weekdays for cleaning.

No one under the age of 18 will be allowed in the building, and no guests will be allowed either, according to .

Visitors will have to complete a screening questionnaire before each visit online at and they will have their temperature checked when they arrive.

Masks or face coverings will be required except during strenuous exercise and all members are required to practice 6 feet of social distancing.

Group exercise classes, pool use and tennis courts will require reservations when they reopen May 18. The locker rooms and indoor walking/running tracks will remain closed.
