Dear Editor:

I am disappointed. I am embarrassed! In 1976 I moved to Coweta as a Capitol Hill staffer ( Career with 2 D’s & 1 R).

I know the drill.

The taxpayers underwrite members and senators annual salaries of $174,000 per elected member. Multiply X 535 voting members, plus benefits. These folk benefit from one of the best healthcare plans in the nation, compliments of the U.S. taxpayer.

Do your job! How many Coweta citizens make $174,000 annually plus benefits?

How many Coweta employees can show up when they want to, get no results, and still get paid?

Do the job the people hired you for! Stop “fiddling while Rome BURNS ....!”
