After the second day of candidate qualifying, there is one candidate each for the Senoia mayor’s post and a vacant city council post.
Qualifying ends Wednesday at noon. Candidates qualify at Senoia City Hall.
Tracy Brady qualified for the Post 2 seat vacated by William “Dub” Pearman, who resigned to run for mayor. Pearman qualified for the mayor’s seat, which was vacated by Jeff Fisher, who resigned for work-related reasons.
If elected, Brady would be the first woman to serve on the Senoia City Council since 2003. The last female council member was Dianne Cleveland, who served on the council before being elected mayor, and left office at the end of 2003.
The election for the mayor and council seat will be March 24. The election is for the rest of Fisher and Pearman’s term, which runs through the end of 2021.
