Sex video gets Decatur man charged with child molestation

Damien Daniel Whatley, 21, is charged with five counts of child molestation and is being held without bond in the Coweta County Jail.

A Decatur man is accused of traveling to Coweta County to engage in sexual acts with a 12-year old.

Damien Daniel Whatley, 21, is charged with five counts of child molestation and is being held without bond in the Coweta County Jail.

Investigators with the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office were contacted in early November regarding a video containing sexually explicit content involving a 12-year-old girl and an older man.

The male in the video was identified as Whatley, who traveled to the juvenile’s home by way of UBER a total of seven times over the past month, according to Inv. Anthony Grant with the sheriff’s office.

Based on the evidence obtained during the investigation, Whatley was arrested Tuesday at his home in Decatur.

Grant said it’s unclear at this point if there are more victims involved, and the investigation remains ongoing.
