Nariyah Nolan shows off her winning artwork at Piedmont Newnan Hospital.

Artwork by Nariyah Nolan, a fourth-grader at Ruth Hill Elementary School, will soon be brightening the holidays of nearly 2,000 people in the community.

Nolan’s drawing of a snowman, snowflakes and a Christmas tree was the winning entry in Piedmont Newnan Hospital’s Holiday Card Design Contest. Hospital officials surprised the young artist by announcing her as the contest winner in front of the board of directors on Wednesday.

Piedmont Newnan partnered with Ruth Hill Elementary School for the contest, which received submissions from more than 100 students.

Nolan’s artwork will grace the cover of Piedmont Newnan’s 2019 holiday card. The card will be sent to more than 1,200 Piedmont Newnan employees, 400 physicians, 120 hospital volunteers and other members of the community.
