Life on the money wheel: Can people catch up?

The cycle of poverty in anyone's life seems like a spinning wheel. I have friends, co-workers, and seniors who are regular, good people that will never be able to catch up in life.

People are afraid to retire now. It used to be something to look forward to. Hard-working people are not able to fulfill basic needs. People have needs toward their home, lifestyle, cars and you can lose everything if you have a problem re-acquiring money.

Many know they need to accept their lifestyle and no change is coming. Problems will not be solved or go away. Many people will never say anything or tell anyone.

Even good people put dogs on a chain because they do not have a good fence. Some people have no car, no job, not enough income, or live with someone.

It seems like a never-ending poverty cycle. Forty years ago, you could work one job, rent or buy a home and have a car payment. Seems like the cost of living went up six times and wages once.

Bosses can not afford to pay a living wage and laborers are too tired or busy with family to work two jobs.

So round and round we go, just hope not to get old. I love our community and worry about the increasing poverty lifestyle.

We also are blessed to have jobs at all.
