The No. 1 nationally ranked East Coweta softball team made short work of visiting South Paulding Wednesday afternoon, winning 13-1 in a game called after three innings.
The victory pushed East Coweta to 14-0 on the season.
East Coweta spotted South Paulding a run the top of the first, but took control of the non-region contest with five runs in the bottom of the first.
The Lady Indians added three runs in the second and five in the bottom of the third to end the game by the mercy rule.
East Coweta out hit South Paulding 9-2 and overcame three errors of its own en route to the easy win.
The Lady Indians got back into their game of home run derby, blasting the long ball off the bats of Olivia Cook, Ashleigh Griffin and Ansley Gunter.
The home run from Griffin was a grand slam.
