On behalf of the State Bar of Georgia, I would like to express congratulations to Troup County Solicitor-General N. Markette Baker on her appointment by Gov. Brian Kemp to serve as a superior court judge for the Coweta Judicial Circuit, serving Carroll, Coweta, Heard, Meriwether and Troup counties.

Judge Baker will be well served by her 20 years of experience in the legal profession, including service as Troup County’s solicitor-general and, previously, as an associate municipal court judge in the City of LaGrange.

She is a valued member of the Board of Governors of the State Bar of Georgia. With her acceptance of this appointment, Judge Baker demonstrates her ongoing commitment to serving the public and the justice system. We wish her well in this new capacity of judicial leadership.

Kenneth B. Hodges III
President, State Bar of Georgia
