Zion’s Community House will be hosting a summer enrichment program for students in pre-K through 12th grade.

Luther Day, director of ZCH, said the program is beneficial to students as they can lose some of what they learned over the summer.

“The biggest thing is bridging that gap between Summer and Fall,” he said. “The main thing is to keep them learning through the summer.”

According to Day, students in the program will receive academic tutoring and take part in field trips to a 7 on 7 tournament hosted by Cam Newton and visit a local nursery greenhouse to learn how plants grow.

“They’ll be given plants so they can see how they grow,” he said. “We’ll also be doing team and character building.”

The tuition is $60 a week from June 3 to July 30.

“Basically, you’re getting an enrichment program so they don’t get behind,” Day said.
