Mrs. Debra Mote Dowd, 61, of Weatherford, Texaas passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2019, at Texas Health Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.

Mrs. Dowd was born September 12, 1957 in Panama City, Fla. and had lived in Texas for the last 19 years. She worked at Target in Weatherford, TEXAS and was Baptist by faith. Before moving to Texas, Mrs. Dowd lived in Canton, GA. and delivered newspapers for the Atlanta Journal Constitution for many years.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Dowd of Weatherford, Texas; son and daughter in-law, Chris and Vandy Dowd of Acworth; mother, Barbara Weir Mote; sister and brother in-law, Elizabeth and Walter Bock, all of Willow Park, Texas; and nieces and nephew, Melissa Bock, Crystal Amara, and Robert Mote.  Mrs. Dowd was preceded in death by her father, Lawrence Eugene Mote; and brother, Larry Mote.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, May 10, in the Chapel of Claude A. McKibben and Sons Funeral Home in Hogansville.  The Reverend James Calhoun will officiate, and interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 7 Thursday afternoon.
