Free archery lessons for boys and girls in first-12th grades will be offered Saturday at Providence Baptist Church, 918 Providence Church Road.

The event will be held from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. Reservations are required. To register, email or call 770-502-8431.

Archery equipment and lunch will be provided. Attendees should not bring their personal archery equipment.

Zion Hill Baptist Church, 87 Pinson St., will celebrate its 121st anniversary on Sunday.

The service will start at 10 a.m. Rufus Smith, pastor of New Mt. Olive Baptist Church in LaGrange, will speak.

As part of the 121st celebration, there also will be a game night today at 7 p.m. Church member Mattie Dunnum said a movie night on April 12 was also one of the activities planned leading up to anniversary Sunday.

The theme for the celebration is “Ministering Beyond the Margins.”

Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church, 2950 Primrose Road in the Zion Hill community near Luthersville is planning a Community Faith Walkers/Runners Kick-Off.

People are invited to “join a group of believers as we jump start a season of encouraging one another to stay active by participating in local walks and runs,” said church member Laneesha Reeves.

The kickoff will be held May 4 at Unity Elementary School, 172 N. Main St. Luthersville and will start at 8 a.m. Reeves urged people to “come out for an early walk and events for the kids.”
