Heritage School girls and boys track lineups combined for 82 points at Landmark Christian on Saturday in a meet featuring eight schools.

Heritage, which was among two GISA schools at the event, placed fifth in both divisions while also getting a boost from Hawks baseball players on the weekend.

A lineup of Brandon Scruggs, David White, Jon Jon Williams and Andrew Rich swapped baseball cleats for spikes en route to finishing second in the 400-meter relay in 45.54 seconds.

Sovi Wellons led the Lady Hawks with victories in the 1,600 (2:32.31) and 800 (5:37.65) to score 20 of 34 points.

Catherine Williams added an eighth-place effort in the 400.

In the field, Emily Walker also contributed for Heritage School’s girls by placing second in the shot put (27-2 ½) and fourth in the discus (61-11).

Heritage’s boys scored 48 points.

In addition to the second-place relay finish, Scruggs placed second in the 200 (22.82) while also third in the 100 (11.52).

White added a fifth-place effort in the 100 to give the Hawks multiple scorers.

Heritage also had Jack Stanley (4th, 5th) and Ben Carnazzo (7th, 7th) score in both the shot put and discus.

In long-distance events, Koby Lord was second in the 800 at 2:11.16 and the Hawks also added a point with an eighth-place effort in the 1,600 relay.
