Coweta Quilts of Valor is holding is annual fish fry on Saturday from 4-7 p.m.

Tuskegee Airmen will be among those receiving quilts. Quilts will be awarded at 4:30, 5:30 and 6:30.

QOV volunteer Kathy Wilson said there also will be activities for families with children.  Children of all ages will be invited to make cards that will be given to future QOV recipients.

“They can also make quilt blocks with their handprints to look like flags that will be sewn into future Quilts of Valor,” Wilson said. “We want our youth to know what a difference our veterans have made and do make in keeping our country and others safe and free.”

QOV is a program in which organizers make quilts for veterans.

Providence Baptist Church on Summers-McKoy Road will celebrate homecoming on Sunday at 10 a.m.

Dr. Melvin D. Brittian Jr., pastor of the church, will deliver the homecoming message.

“Dinner will be served in the fellowship hall immediately after the service,” said church member Doris Powell.

Revival at Providence will be from Tuesday-Thursday at 7 p.m.

“People are urged to join with the church family in experiencing a refreshing revival through inspirational hymns and songs, fervent prayers, powerful preaching and teaching, anointed praise, spiritual and truthful worship, transforming ministry and Christian fellowship,” Powell said.

Evangelists for the revival will be W.J.E. Coombs, pastor of Greater New Fellowship Baptist Church in Cartersville, Tuesday; O.L. Wood, pastor of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church in Newnan and Union Chapel United Methodist Church in LaGrange, Wednesday; and Kenneth Curtis, pastor of St. Peter Baptist Church near Newnan and Rocky Mount Bethel Baptist Church near Luthersville, Thursday.

Rocky Mount Bethel Baptist Church, 3469 Luthersville Road, Luthersville is holding homecoming and revival.

Homecoming will be Sunday at 11:30 a.m., and revival will be Monday-Wednesday at 7 p.m. Eddie Johnson, pastor of Macedonia Baptist Church in Thomaston, will preach on Monday.

Jerome Spence, pastor of Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, will bring Tuesday’s message, and Wednesday’s preacher will be Janet Ware, pastor of Mt. Nebo Baptist Church of Griffin.

Chuck Girard, pioneer of contemporary Christmas music, will be in Newnan on Sunday.

He will present a concert at Calvary Chapel, 18 Savannah St. at 6 p.m. A love offering will be received.

Girard is a singer, songwriter and worship leader.

Brookdale Newnan, a senior living community, is seeking pastors who are willing to volunteer and do a small service on Sundays around 3 p.m.
