A benefit motorcycle ride will be held for Brunette Phillips, who recently lost her longtime residence, on Saturday, July 20.
“She has had to move and needed some assistance,” said Glenn Render, who is coordinating the event. “Now we’re going to raise some money to get her situated and comfortable.”
The ride begins at a T.G.I. Fridays on Camp Creek Parkway in Atlanta and will end at Greenville Street Park in Newnan.
Render said participants of the ride will meet at the RaceTrac at 11 a.m. and leave for T.G.I. Fridays at 11:30 a.m. The return ride will begin a 1 p.m. and Render said they expect to return at 2 p.m.
Participation in the ride is free, said Render.
“It’s welcome to anybody that wants to come,” Render said. “We’re just asking people to make donations when we get back to Newnan.”
After the ride, an event featuring a DJ, food, games and a car and bike show will be held at Greenville Street Park for participants to make donations.
All proceeds from the event will benefit Phillips.
