After falling to Japan on Friday, the USA 19-and-under team bounced back in a big way on Saturday morning, beating France 11-2 in a game called after five innings.
The U.S. squad broke the game open with seven runs in the first inning. They also added three in the second and one in the fourth.
They out hit France 14-4.
Northgate graduate and recent transfer to the University of Florida Charla Echols had one of the team's hits en route to the win.
Against Japan, the USA 19-and-under softball team dropped a 3-0 Friday in Paris.
Japan broke the game open with two runs in the bottom of the first and scored an insurance run in the bottom of the fifth.
The USA squad managed just four hits.
Echols reached on one of the hits and East Coweta graduate Kelley Lynch struck out two batters in her only inning of work.
The USA squad plays against Japan in a rematch at 1 p.m. on Saturday.
France and the USA squad play their rematch Sunday at 5 a.m. Eastern time.
