Natalie Butcher prepares two meals a week for needy Cowetans at Bridging the Gap.
“She does a great job making sure they’re all fed,” said Kelli Yeager-Nelson, BTG’s executive director. Yeager-Nelson also talked about Butcher’s overseeing the preparations for the charity’s annual pancake breakfast.
“Natalie has done such a great job,” Yeager-Nelson said, commenting on the spread for the breakfast and, in particularly the “homemade pancakes and homemade whipped topping.”
Here is Natalie Butcher’s everything from scratch pancake recipe, which was used for the Bridging the Gap pancake breakfast:
1 ½ cups all-purpose flour
3 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon baking powder
¼ teaspoon salt
⅛ teaspoon freshly ground nutmeg
2 large eggs, at room temperature
1 ¼ cups mile, at room temperature
½ teaspoon pure vanilla extract
3 tablespoons melted, unsalted butter, plus more as needed
