For the last 21 years, I have dedicated my heart and soul to the Newnan Coweta Public Safety Foundation, which aids all those men and women who work in any area of public safety.

During those 21 years, I have worked very closely with the Coweta County Sheriff Department and especially with Lenn Wood. I have never met a more sincere, honest, hard-working person in all the years of my association with public safety agencies. As the years have passed, I have watched Lenn work in every department there in the sheriff’s office, and I have noted how diligent he has been in every capacity in which he has worked. He truly cares about the people who serve our county in the sheriff’s department, and his training there surpasses all.

Lenn Wood has been invaluable in promoting safety in our schools, and his genuine love for the children has motivated him to take the best possible care he can of all of them. He is renowned for his progression of safety measures in our schools with our Resource officers. He is truly an administrator and a mentor for all who come in as personnel in the sheriff’s departments. He has shown himself to be a man of the highest character who tries to be fair and considerate of everyone in his path. I have seen this so many times.

In working so closely all these years in my Public Safety Foundation capacity, I believe very strongly that we need to keep our sheriff, Lenn Wood, so that we can move forward in the safe direction every citizen wants for this wonderful county in which we live.
