Sharon Darlene Estes, 60, passed away peacefully Monday, April 15, 2019 at her home in Newnan, Ga.

She was born on December 28, 1958 in Madison Tennessee to the late Bobby Mack Estes and Freda Smith Estes.

Sharon served her country in the United States Army as a Medical Specialist from December 28, 1981 until she was honorably discharged on July 12, 1984. During her time in the military, Sharon was awarded the Army Service Ribbon, Army Achievement Medal and multiple Marksman Badges. Sharon had a big heart for helping others and she spent a lot of her time volunteering for many different organizations, primarily Madison Senior Center, in Madison, Tenn.  

The graveside service celebrating Sharon's life is Wednesday, April 17, 2019 at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, 656 Roscoe Road, in Newnan beginning at 3 p.m. The family will greet friends on Wednesday from 1-2:30 p.m. at McKoon Funeral Home, 38 Jackson Street, in Newnan. 

Along with her parents, Sharon is preceded in death by her brother, Steve Estes. She is survived by her siblings, Roger Estes of Nashville, Tenn., Denise Hitt of Brunswick, Ga. and Tommy Estes of Reddington Shores, Fla. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and her beloved cat, Shadow.
