For the third time in two days, the Trinity Lions baseball team dropped contests to Strong Rock Christian to close out the regular season.
After losing 11-7 on Monday, the Lions dropped a doubleheader on Tuesday on the road, falling 5-2 and 7-0.
In the 7-0 loss, Trinity managed just four hits getting a double from Calin Smith and singles from Maury Weaver, Kyle Riesselmann and Jayce Blalock.
Four pitchers worked the game for the Lions with Connor Smith striking out three and Colin Rader one.
In the second game, Trinity took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first, before the Patriots added two runs in the second and three in the third.
Trinity added its final run in the top of the sixth, but Strong Rock quickly put an end to the rally.
Despite losing the contest, the Lions outhit the Patriots 7-5 in the nightcap.
Riesselmann and Thomas Cordier each had two hits and RBI to spark the offense.
Smith finished with a double.
Carson Beach led three Lions pitchers with three strikeouts.
Chase Metcalf and Stephen Spurgeon each had one strikeout.
