I think that Rep. Ferguson, Senators Isakson and Perdue need to get their men's rhetoric straightened up and get the facts right.
Puerto Rico is not a “Mexican” country. It is a territory and it belongs to the United States. Those people are American citizens.
So are the people on the Virgin Islands – and they are also being ignored. Yes, $91 million was earmarked for PR, but they haven't gotten but about $12 million. The aid has not gotten there.
So, in fact, Trump has not been "better to them than anyone else ever has.” He has been worse than terrible. And the world has noticed.
Add to all that this salient fact – he hasn't done diddly squat for the people of Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina or Virginia for Hurricane Maria, the flooding in the Midwest or the wildfires on the west coast.
We have had literally thousands of people dying, billions lost in crop damage, homes destroyed, businesses ruined, and the president wants a pat on the back for being the best sugar daddy when he is supposed to be a leader and taking care of these things? My elected officials are a disgrace for supporting this man.
