Ann Morris Garner Smith, 92, passed away peacefully on Monday, April 15, 2019.
She was born on February 10, 1927 in Atlanta to the late Murphy A. Morris and Annie Mae
Ann was a typist for the Department of Transportation for many years. She later went
into business with her husband, Bob, and with much success had a striving business in
the concrete construction industry.
Ann loved flowers in the spring, listening to country and gospel music, watching golf and getting together with her family. She enjoyed square dancing, shopping, senior center outings and keeping her age a secret. She was a member of the Fayetteville Christian Church.
Ann is survived by her children, Alan and Rose Garner, Beverly Garner Owens and Alex
and Carol Garner; great-granddaughters, Kendall and Kloie Garner; nieces, nephews,
stepchildren and grandchildren. She was predeceased by her two husbands, Cecil K.
Garner and Robert L Smith; grandson, Kenneth Garner Jr.; and brother, Murphy
Visitation will be held at Mowell Funeral Home in Fayetteville on Wednesday April 17, 2019 from 12 noon to 1 p.m. to be followed by a graveside service at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City.
