Dr. Paige Patterson, longtime Southern Baptist Convention leader, will be preaching for revival at New Lebanon Baptist Church, 1674 Wagers Mills Road, Newnan.

Patterson served for two years as president of the Southern Baptist Convention. He also served as president of two SBC schools – Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, N.C. and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.

Revival services will be Sunday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. and Monday-Wednesday at 7 p.m. There will be a Sportsmens Fellowship on Monday at 6 p.m. and a family night meal on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Area United Methodists will be gathering to gain insight and renew ties following the recent meeting of the United Methodist General Conference.

The informational session for the LaGrange, Griffin and Atlanta-College Park districts will Sunday from 4-6 p.m. at Cascade United Methodist Church, 3144 Cascade Road SW, Atlanta. Churches in Coweta County are in the LaGrange District.

Idong Ekandem, Missions Service Corps missionary in Clarkston, will be the speaker for the Western Baptist Association Woman’s Missionary Union Spring Inspirational Meeting on Monday.

The meeting will start at 6 p.m. at East Newnan Baptist Church. Attendees are asked to bring covered dishes for a shared meal and gift cards to Walmart or Kroger for missions.

A discipleship class will start March 31 at East Newnan Baptist Church.

Sessions will be held for six weeks on Sundays from 5-7 p.m. Church member June Harris said the class will use the book “Pathways: From Providence to Purpose” by Dr. Tony Evans.

“We here at East Newnan have a full calendar of inspirational happenings and Christian fellowship,” Harris said.
