The East Coweta Indians held the Campbell Spartans to just one hit, but had trouble with their own timely offense.
In the end, the Indians needed one extra inning to pull out the region win, beating the Spartans 2-1.
Caleb Cashion’s RBI in the bottom of the eighth inning gave the Indians the region win.
East Coweta finished the game with eight hits.
Cashion was the offensive spark plug for the Indians finishing with a 3-for-4 performance.
He also drove in the Indians’ first run of the game in the bottom of the fourth.
That RBI tied the game at 1-all.
Campbell took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first inning.
East Coweta’s Austin Bunn finished with four strikeouts.
Jacob Howell picked up the win in relief and finished with five strikeouts.
Michael Braswell took the loss for the Spartans, but struckout seven.
