Coweta County was well represented on National Signing Day Wednesday with 15 athletes signing letters of intent.
East Coweta and Newnan led the way with four players each signing to continue their football careers at the next level.
Three athletes signed from Northgate and Heritage and two from Trinity also signed scholarship offers.
East Coweta’s Taylor McCawley will join first-year Georgia Tech football coach Geoff Collins squad.
The Indians’ Alex Derico will play college football at Jacksonville and R.J. Pettaway signed with Kennesaw State.
Dantarius Chunn will play at East Coweta head coach John Small’s alma mater after signing with West Georgia.
Newnan is sending two players to Shorter and two to Point University after signing Wednesday morning.
The Cougars’ Tre Bridges and Tristan Escoe are both headed to Shorter in the Gulf South Conference.
Newnan’s Tyrese Smith and SanJuan Warner are headed to Point.
Northgate’s Bryan Bordeaux will join Bridges and Escoe and Shorter in Rome.
The Vikings’ Kevin Feldbauer is heading to Newberry and Stephen Hess headed to the Merchant Marine.
Two senior athletes from Heritage will continue their college football careers after Henry Arnall signed with the University of the South and Peter Nell with Carnegie Mellon.
Heritage’s All-State soccer player Jack Hunt signed to play college soccer at Birmingham-Southern.
Two football players from Trinity will play at FCS schools after Cameron Hellgeth signed with Wofford and Jake Lyle signed with Wofford.
