After concluding the regular season Friday night against each other, the East Coweta Lady Indians and the Newnan Lady Cougars will meet again Monday night at 6 p.m. to open the Region 2-7A tournament.
The game will be played at East Coweta.
The two teams split games during the regular season with
East Coweta winning at Newnan 48-45 and Newnan taking the rematch 46-42.
East Coweta finished the regular season with a 7-16 overall record and a 3-7 mark in region play.
Newnan enters the first-round contest with a 7-16 record overall and a 2-8 record in the league.
The East Coweta boys won the Region 2 7-A title and will have a first-round bye.
Newnan comes into the first-round game with a 6-17 record. The Cougars finished 0-10 in region action during the regular season.
The Cougars take on Westlake Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in a game set to be played at East Coweta.
Westlake was 15-10 and 5-5 in the regular season.
The East Coweta boys earned a No. 1 seed after winning the regular season Region 2-7A title with a 24-1 overall record and 9-1 mark in the region and earned a first-round bye.
