The second Southeastern Christian Writers’ Conference at SonRise Baptist Church will be held in October – with an early registration date of Feb. 28.
The conference will be Oct. 25-26 and is a focused training event for both experienced and aspiring writers to hone skills, strengthen networks and enlarge ministry potential in the world. Until Feb. 28, attendees may take advantage of early registration discounts.
Conference activities include the SEC Writers Book contest, and the entry deadline is April 15. For information, see www.secwritersconference.com
At the Oct. 25 banquet, South Carolina’s Edie Melson – writer, blogger, teacher – will bring the keynote address during the banquet that begins the conference activities. Melson is director of the Blue Ridge Mountains Christian Writers Conference, the social media director for Southern Writers Magazine and the social media mentor for My Book Therapy.
Melson is also a member of the Advanced Writers and Speakers Association and a regular
columnist for Guideposts.org, Just18Summers.com, and PuttingOnTheNew.com.
Oct. 26 will feature group sessions and breakout sessions from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
