CCF hosts blood drive ThursdayThe Coweta County Community Foundation will host the 2019 Dr. Gerald Troutman Big Give Blood Drive Thursday, Feb. 14 from 9 a.m. until 5 p.m.

The drive will be held at The Newnan-Coweta Chamber of Commerce, 23 Bullsboro Drive, Newnan.

The Red Cross is currently in need of all blood types, according to the CCF.

Anyone wishing to donate blood should visit www.redcrossblood.org  and use sponsor code cowetacf to make an appointment.

The blood drive is in partnership with the American Red Cross.


Maggie Worth to speak at business women’s meeting
Maggie Worth will speak with the Business Women of Fayette and Coweta about communication at the bi-monthly business meeting held on Tuesday, Feb. 26. 

Worth is an author, speaker, trainer and consultant.

Worth has almost 25 years of strategic communications, organizational leadership, and project management experience, and has taught workshops on personality typing, professional and creative writing, communications, organizational planning, and more. She’s sold more than 1,500 articles to print and online publications and written more than 5,000 speeches, white papers, policy manuals, instruction sheets, and ads. She has also penned a textbooks, won awards and crafted a goal-setting system for personal and small business strategic planning.

The meeting will also be a networking opportunity. Women who own, manage, or sell in business are especially encouraged to attend. The event will be at Flat Creek Country Club in Peachtree City with networking and dinner beginning at 5:30 p.m. and the full meeting at 7 p.m.
